The Venue

Screenings, masterclasses and the Awards Night will be held at Ravindra Bhawan, a state cultural complex operated by the Directorate of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1962 and named after Rabindranath Tagore, it has hosted national festivals including Bharat Rang Mahotsav and Lokrang for decades. Its redevelopment under the Union Ministry of Culture’s Tagore Cultural Complex scheme has added modern auditorium, exhibition and rehearsal facilities across a single 5.2-hectare campus.

The complex brings together everything a festival of this scale needs under one roof. The Hansdhwani auditorium, its largest hall with 1,500 seats, anchors the main film screenings and the Awards Night, while the 212-seat Gauranjani mini theatre hosts masterclasses and panel discussions and the 350-seat Kaushiki hall adds further screening capacity. An art gallery, exhibition spaces, an open-air stage and on-site recording studios round out the campus — giving PIFFI a centrally located, established venue with a six-decade history of hosting national-level cultural programming in the city widely regarded as Madhya Pradesh’s cultural capital.
